How we drew the list
We began at the boundary of each airport and chose sixteen towns and parts of Dallas whose centers lie within 25 miles of both boundaries in a straight line; the road miles in the table run longer. Then, on September 27, 2026, each route was measured twice, once toward DFW and once toward Love Field, in traffic that was moving freely. Those miles and minutes went straight into the table. Rush hour, a stalled lane or a stadium crowd will stretch the minutes, so give your pickup time some room.
Each row of the table shows four things:
- Road miles and minutes to DFW
- Road miles and minutes to Love Field
- The sedan fare of the mileage band, shown as a from-figure
- Which of the two airports is the quicker drive
Why the quicker drive can mislead
Your ticket picks the airport, and the map does not. Someone in Grapevine is 6.5 miles from DFW, yet a departure out of Love Field means 19.9 miles and close to half an hour. Highland Park works the other way round: 4.3 miles to Love Field and 20.6 miles to DFW. So read the column for the airport printed on your boarding pass, and treat the quicker airport column as a hint, never a rule.
The table still earns its place. Road miles between your pickup and the airport set the band, and the band sets the from-figure, so one Plano address can sit in two bands: 21.1 miles to Love Field, 30.3 miles to DFW. The minutes help you choose a pickup time. How the driver finds a gate, a building or a side lobby is covered under door to door airport transfer in Dallas.
Addresses beyond these sixteen
A pickup in a town missing from the table but within 25 miles of the airport is still worth a call. Phone during the hours printed on the site and give the street address, the airport and your flight time. The desk looks for a local car company that can cover that address and that airport at that hour. When none can, the desk tells you so in its reply, in plain words, and nothing moves forward. When one can, the request runs like any other, and the company's fixed fare reaches you in writing before you agree to it.
Edges of the map deserve a word too. A house on the far side of Richardson or Arlington may sit a few miles beyond the town center that was measured, and that can push it into a higher band. The company's written fare follows your real address, not the row in the table, so check the figure in the message you receive. If a stop on the way matters, ask for it in the request and it gets priced up front.
