Corporate airport transfer in Dallas: reserve a car for your office door

A corporate airport transfer in Dallas often starts at a building that shares its street number with three others. You tell the desk which building and which door, and we find a local car company with a car free at your pickup time. The desk sends you that company's fixed fare in writing. Say yes, and the company's driver comes to the entrance you named, not to a guess.

Details the driver needs at work

Company or building name
On a campus several buildings share one street address.
Which entrance or lobby
After hours the front lobby can be locked while a side door by the garage stays open.

Leaving work for DFW or Love Field

The car pulls into the drive or the curb lane at the entrance written in your request. On a campus that means the right building and the right side of it. When the driver gets there, the company's text tells you the car and where it is standing, so you can walk straight out with your bags.

Plan the pickup time around the door, not the desk you sit at. A walk from a fourth-floor office through a badge gate to a side entrance can take ten minutes on its own. The sedan holds up to 3 riders with 3 large bags, so a small team heading to the same flight can share one car; a larger group can ask about an SUV or a van.

Before the pickup time, have a few things within reach:

  • Your bags packed and at the door, not upstairs at your desk
  • The phone number you gave in the request, switched on
  • The terminal you want at DFW, or Love Field if that is your airport
  • A badge or visitor pass, if the lobby needs one to let you out

Coming back to the office after landing

Some riders fly home and head straight to work to collect a laptop or a parked car. The company's driver meets you at the airport pickup spot its text names, then drives you to the building and the entrance from your request. Tolls and the airport's access charge sit inside the fixed fare.

Late arrivals need one more thought. After hours the front lobby may be locked while a side door by the garage stays open. Tell us which door you can use at that hour, and the driver will stop there instead of circling a dark main entrance.

If the building is fully closed when you land, give the street corner or the garage entry where you want to be let out instead. The driver follows what the request says, so a clear line there means nobody has to call you at midnight to ask.

What to write in the request, and why

A street address alone rarely finds a person on a campus. The driver needs the name that is actually on the building, because that is the sign they read from the road. Add the entrance or lobby you plan to use, since a big site can have a main door, a garage door and a loading side that all face different streets.

Arranging a car for a visitor? Enter your own phone for the quote, and put the visitor's name, with the visitor's phone if the visitor agrees to texts, in the note, so the company can reach the person getting in the car. If your company needs a receipt in its own name, say so in the request; the car company issues the receipt, because it is the one that charges. Its written confirmation lists the fare, the car, the meeting point and its phone line for the day of the ride.

Where office pickups go wrong

Most missed pickups at work sites come down to the wrong door. A driver waits at the front of Building A while the rider stands by the garage of Building C. Naming both the building and the entrance clears that up before anyone leaves the house.

Other snags are easy to head off. A security desk may stop a car at the barrier, so mention if the driver must check in. A meeting that runs long can push you past the free wait of 15 minutes at the address; ask for extra waiting in the quote if you expect it. Riders leaving from home can see how an airport transfer from an apartment in Dallas is set up, and anyone ready now can reserve a ride.
