Leaving for DFW from home or work
Set the pickup time by working back from your departure. Allow for the drive from your address, the line at security and the walk to the gate, then add some room for a slow highway. Our pricing page shows how the road miles to the airport shape the fare, and the towns list gives drive times you can plan around.
Early morning departures are common, and requests sent overnight get their answer when the phone opens again, so send yours a day or more ahead when you can. That gives the desk time to find a car of the right size and gives you time to read the fare before you reserve it.
DFW has five terminals, so the form asks which one you leave from, and "Not sure yet" is a fine answer until your boarding pass shows the letter. The driver pulls up at the departures curb of that terminal and unloads your bags there. A few details keep the morning calm:
- Check your ticket for the terminal letter before you send the request
- Name the right kind of door, so the driver finds you at a house, a gate or a tower
- Count the large bags, since the car size depends on them
Landing at DFW and finding your car
For an arrival, the company's driver will meet you at the terminal where you land, on the lower level, in the area the airport keeps for pre-arranged pickups. You do not have to guess where to go: the company's text names the door to walk out of and describes the car waiting outside it.
Once your bags are off the carousel, text the number in the company's message. The free wait counts from the moment the plane lands: 30 minutes after a domestic flight and 45 after an international one, which leaves time for customs and a long walk from the gate.
Coming home as a group in a van? The company's text still names the door, and the driver waits in the same pre-arranged area. Keep your phone on after landing, since the company may call or text the number you gave in the request if it needs to reach you.
Which car companies take rides to DFW
The desk hands a ride to or from DFW only to a car company that appears on the airport's list for pre-arranged pickups and that also holds an operating permit from Dallas or Fort Worth for cars for hire. Both are checked before the ride goes out, and the desk keeps a record of each check. A company missing either one does not get the ride, however close its car may be.
That company quotes the fare, and after you accept, it drives and charges. You pay the company directly, by card in the car or as its confirmation says, and nothing is paid on this site. The fixed fare holds once you say yes, whatever the traffic on the highway that day. Heading to the other airport instead? The page for an airport transfer to Love Field covers that one.
Delays, gate changes and new flight times
Flights slip. Because the request carries your flight number, the company can see when you really land, and the free wait is counted from that landing rather than from the time printed on your ticket. If the whole flight moves to another day, write to the desk or call the company on the line in its confirmation.
For a sedan or SUV you can change or cancel without charge up to 24 hours before the pickup time; for a van, up to 7 days before. Later changes follow the terms in the company's confirmation, set out on the cancellation policy page.
