Calling with a pickup in mind
A call during phone hours lets you speak to a specialist who fills in the request with you while you talk. Most calls are short when the details sit in front of you before you dial, because each answer tells the desk which car size fits and which local company has a car free at that hour:
- Flight number, and the landing time or the pickup time you want
- Pickup address and the kind of door the car will find
- How many riders and how many large bags
- Extras to price, such as a child seat or a stop on the way
- A mobile number that can receive texts
Sunday looks ahead to the week
On Sunday someone picks up the phone for a shorter stretch than on other days, and the rest of the day goes to the coming week. That evening every rider with a pickup on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday gets a text. It repeats the pickup time, the meeting point and the phone line of the company handling the ride, so the plan is already on your phone before the week starts. The message lands on the mobile number from your request; answer STOP whenever you want those messages to end.
